Deep Cleaning
Use Fiebing’s Yellow Saddle Soap:
Dip a brush in water and rub it into the saddle soap.
Brush the boots thoroughly.
Wipe them dry with a cloth.
Rehydrating
Apply Saphir Medaille d’Or Renovator:
Use a cloth to dab cream onto the leather.
Spread evenly and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Buff with a horsehair brush.
Optional: Covering Scuffs
Use Saphir Medaille d’Or Pommadier Cream to restore pigment:
Match the cream’s color to your boots.
Lightly tap a cloth into the cream and apply it to the scuffs.
Avoid stitching areas, as the cream may color them.
Let it sit for a few minutes.
Prevention is Key
The best way to keep your boots looking their best is regular maintenance. By protecting and conditioning your boots beforehand, you can extend their lifespan and keep them looking pristine.
Waterproofing
Use a waterproof protector like Bickmore Gard-More Water & Stain Repellent.
Apply 2-3 coats, waiting 1 hour between coats for drying.
