Gucci History
Gucci was founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci. It started off as a single shop in Florence Italy and expanded into a world renowned brand. Guccio Gucci had a dream of making Gucci a luxury brand and he was able to build that reputation. Guccio’s 3 sons later helped expand Gucci into markets such as New York, Tokyo, Paris and London. In the 80s there was a lot of drama involving Gucci’s grandchildren wanting control over the company. Eventually a Gucci was bought out by Investcorp which gave Gucci a new light away from all the problems it was facing. Now Gucci is a well known brand with its iconic green and red stripes and it double G’s.
Fun Fact
The double G’s in gucci stands for Guccio Gucci and was a tribute to Guccio after he passed away.

At Mark Marvin Leathers we are able to repair, clean, and restore Gucci handbags, purses, luggage and more. Our talented craftsmen will be able to help repair or come up with a solution to your problems. We have done repairs such as, repairing handles, piping, zippers, lining, creating leather corners, etc.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide Gucci branded replacement parts, often we are able to reuse the original hardware. If the original hardware can’t be used then we will work with you to find a suitable replacement.

Repairs take anywhere between 4-6 weeks from receiving the item depending on how difficult the repair. For some repairs we have to order specific hardware or special leather.
We use all different types of material depending on what is being repaired. Our leather is great quality and we use different types of leather to match color and grain as the original item. All our materials are of top quality to meet our expectations.
Yes, we are able to make any altercations that you may want to your item. For example, extra closure, added strap, etc.
We are located in New York, Brooklyn, but accept orders from all over America, and different parts of the world.
No, as of right now we are only accepting mail in orders, or delivery Pickups/Drop Offs if in the NYC area.
The price differs which each item. Every item is unique and may require different materials and time depending on the design, color, material etc. We try our best to give the best possible quote on the repair needed, and discuss this with you through email or through our virtual repair service.
We will need half of what the quote was upfront in order to start the repair process, and the second half of the payment will be needed once we are done a ready to ship the item(s) back to you.
