Jeanne Lanvin founded Lanvin in 1889 in Paris France. It was initially started as a hat making shop, but expanded into children’s clothing and later women’s fashion. By the 1920’s Lanvin had become a fashion house offering many products like purses, handbags, etc. The company was family-run until 1989 when it switched to corporate ownership. Lanvin today remains a symbol of luxury, with its deep roots in innovation and elegance.

Jeanne Lanvin was a doll maker, for some time she would sell dolls that she made at fairs.
