Saint Laurent History
Yves Saint Laurent was founded in 1961. He was a very creative and innovative designer, his parents were musicians and he would create plays with his sister, with him designing the clothing. When he was 16 he entered a Wool Secretariat competition and won 3rd place, the year after he joined again and won 1st place, gaining attention from Christian Dior. Christian Dior hired Saint Laurent when he was 18 in 1955 as his assistant. He gained confidence at Dior and when Christian Dior died he became the new couturier for Dior. In 1960 he was drafted into the army and this would take a toll on his mental health. When hospitilized for a mental breakdown he found out that he would not return as Dior’s head designer. This made Yves Saint Laurent make his own brand with the money he made at Dior and with some help from Jesse Mack Robinson. Saint Laurent had a eye for menswear on women and that was his style that would be known from him. Later on he also started to travel the world which inspired him to create pieces at included the culture of the places he had been to. Yves Saint Laurent stepped down in 2002 and since then there have been other creative directors like, Hedi Slimane and Tom Ford. Now Saint Laurent is still a iconic brand and is lead by creative director Anthony Vaccarello.

The price differs which each item. Every item is unique and may require different materials and time depending on the design, color, material etc. We try our best to give the best possible quote on the repair needed, and discuss this with you through email or through our virtual repair service.
We will need half of what the quote was upfront in order to start the repair process, and the second half of the payment will be needed once we are done a ready to ship the item(s) back to you.
