Hermès journey began in 1837, when Thierry Hermès opened a workshop making harnesses. In 1880 Hermès started to also make saddles and were starting to be known throughout Europe. Hermès started moving into leather goods in 1922, through the management of Émile Hermès. The first silk scarf was introduced in 1937, and in 1949 their first tie was introduced. The Kelly bag was seen getting carried around by Grace Kelly in 1956 which the bag is named after and became a success. The Birkin bag was born in 1984 when actress and and singer Jane Birkin was on a flight with Jean-Louis Dumas which lead to a conversation of Jean designing her ideal handbag. Hermes then grew into a luxurious brand that is very exclusive, which have led to some bags being sold for half a million!
Fun Fact
On a trip to Canada in 1922 Émile Hermès obtained the exclusive rights to the zipper, and became used on many on the house’s bags.

Repairs take anywhere between 4-6 weeks from receiving the item depending on how difficult the repair. For some repairs we have to order specific hardware or special leather.

No, as of right now we are only accepting mail in orders, or delivery Pickups/Drop Offs if in the NYC area.
The price differs which each item. Every item is unique and may require different materials and time depending on the design, color, material etc. We try our best to give the best possible quote on the repair needed, and discuss this with you through email or through our virtual repair service.
We will need half of what the quote was upfront in order to start the repair process, and the second half of the payment will be needed once we are done a ready to ship the item(s) back to you.
